Recorded in 1997 when we were known as Society Syncopators. The band is Peter Gaudion (tpt, main vocal), Richard Miller (clt, sax, backing vocals), Chris Ludowyk (trom, backing vocals), Jeff Arthur (gtr & bjo), James Clark (bass & tuba), Andrew Swann (dms & main vocal). The cover was by our friend and fan - celebrated artist the late Piers Bateman. There are two originals on the CD - Miller's 'Speak to me' and Gaudion's 'One for Lonnie' - a tribute to Lonnie Johnson, the guitarist in Louis Armstrong's Hot Five.
